Project: Self-portrait

The project was made in Siena Art Institute in 2012.

The project combines three elements: physical, digital and the sound. Physical part was mostly inspired by Renaissance sculptures. Parts of my body were done in plaster and lined up on a shelf in random order just like books or any other objects. I decided to do a video of covering my naked body with aluminum foil and then project it on the 3D installation. The idea was to show how we selectively choose what parts of us we want to present and how. The sound contains my heavy breathing that occurred during the process.
